Smithy & Dickie

2018-03-25

Smithy & Dickie is a short documentary directed by Hannah Quinn, about love letters written in the 1940’s, young people’s reactions to them and an exploration on how the current explosion of digital information may be obliterating our most precious memories, making them less accessible in another 70 years.

Hannah Quinn’s directorial debut short film ‘My Bonnie’, screened at multiple festivals
internationally, gaining several nominations and festival awards.
She has directed for TV3’s highly successful Red Rock and has just completed post
production on an Irish Film Board funded documentary, Smithy & Dickie.
Hannah brings a wealth of experience from successfully working for over two decades as
an Assistant Director, alongside highly prolific directors.
Her A/D filmography includes projects such as Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, The Martian,
Children of Men and independent films, Maze and Song for a Raggy Boy.
