Brian McSheffrey - The Sheriff Said “No Flirtin"!
Brian McSheffrey - The Sheriff Said “No Flirtin"! Adapted by Brian McSheffrey from the story The Mikado written by W.S. Gilbert and composed by Arthur Sullivan Rather than their Japanese setting the backdrop is Kansas in the old west. All the show's music is from the 1920s. It’s 1851, the year Calamity Jane was born. Although Martha Jane Cannary has absolutely nothing to do with our tale. Our story involves the classic difficulties posed by a love triangle that, in the end, turns into a love rectangle. To keep it brief (hence the title Synopsis above) our narrative explains that Larry loves Betsy, and Betsy loves Larry but also Pete, and Claudia loves Larry. Who ends up with whom is the jist of the yarn (that is yarn not yawn - at least we hope so!)
