ISNCR: Irish Society of the National Capital Region: Thomas O'Neill, President The Irish Society has been active in the greater Ottawa-Gatineau area in various forms since 1957. On March 6, 1995, The Society was re-organized and officially incorporated in the Province of Ontario as The Irish Society of the National Capital Region as a non-profit charitable corporation. The Society's main objectives are the promotion of Irish / Irish-Canadian culture and heritage, and the strengthening and support of the Irish / Irish-Canadian community in the Ottawa region.
