Throughout that time, Irish radio has provided a platform for diverse voices and debate, offering timely, independent information to support public decision making. Overview of the 100‑Year Celebration 29–30 January 2026, University College Cork (UCC)staged a landmark event marking a century of Irish radio. The two‑day conference, titled Broadcast to Podcast: 100 Years of Irish Radio, brought together academics, broadcasters, and industry leaders to examine the past, present, and future of radio in Ireland.
